Clifton Hill Dental was established in 1994 by Dr Nick Malamas and since this time has grown into a team of dental professionals providing high quality dental services to the community. Our experienced team aims to provide the best possible service to all of our patients, regardless of whether the work being done is simple restorative, preventive or complex implant, cosmetic and dental reconstructive dentistry.

Dr Nicholas Malamas BDSc. (Melb), B.Sc (Melb)
Dr Nicholas Malamas is the principal dentist of Clifton Hill Dental and has proudly been caring for the dental needs of the residents of Clifton Hill and its surrounding suburbs since 1994.
Dr Malamas graduated from The University of Melbourne in 1991 and has since been continuously keeping up to date with the latest dental technology and techniques, particularly in the field of dental implants. He is particularly interested in the new advances in dental implants, All-On-4, reconstructive and cosmetic dentistry.
Dr Malamas has completed a Masters program in implant dentistry at the University of California in Los Angeles, is a member of the Australian Osseo Integration Society and has completed a number of short courses in this field. As part of this training, he completed a residency in Lisbon, Portugal with Dr Palo Malo, the inventor of the ‘All-On-4 teeth in a day’ system.
Dr Malamas’ philosophy is to provide the best possible dental care in a gentle, caring and professional manner. He and his team believe in treating the person not just a mouth.
Dr Michelle McIntosh BDSc. Hons (Melb)
Dr Michelle McIntosh graduated from The University of Melbourne with honours in 2008. She worked for two years as an oral surgery resident at a number of hospitals gaining vast experience in oral surgery, including implant placement. Michelle completed a Master Clinician Program in Implant Dentistry at the University of Los Angeles in 2014.
Michelle enjoys all aspects of dentistry and has a keen interest in surgery. She continues to teach dental students at The University of Melbourne.
Michelle is committed to providing high quality and comprehensive oral health care to her Clifton Hill Dental patients. She has a caring and gentle demeanour that puts even the most nervous of patients at ease.
Dr Jeremy Hockey BMedSci (Syd), DDS (Melb)
His gentle nature aids in making people feel relaxed and can even settle the most nervous and phobic patients.
Mariana Cassini BOH (Otago), GCertDenTherpy (Melb)
Mariana graduated in 2012 from the University of Otago, New Zealand, with a Bachelor of Oral Health. Mariana has vast experience working as an Oral Health Therapist in the public and private sectors in Melbourne. Since graduating, Mariana has also been busy pursuing research projects as well as postgraduate studies. She has completed a Graduate Certificate in Dental Therapy (Advanced Clinical Practice) from the University of Melbourne in 2015.
Mariana published an article in the ANZJDOHT Journal concerning pregnant women and oral health awareness in 2015.
Mariana enjoys caring for patients of all ages groups to help them achieve their optimal oral health in a friendly and relaxed environment. Mariana’s training allows her to provide extensive dental treatment for children as well as periodontal and routine dental care for adults.
Mariana has always enjoyed her own dental visits throughout childhood into adulthood and is determined to share the same pleasant experience with all her patients. Mariana has a strong focus on preventive care and a passion for general dentistry.
Jessica Di Giandomenico BOH (Latrobe)
Jessica graduated from La Trobe University in 2015, receiving her Bachelor of Oral Health Science with extended scope of practice.
Jessica has experience providing optimal dental care in the public health sector, treating clients of all ages. She enjoys communicating and involving clients with each stage of their treatment, with a focus on prevention and maintenance.
Through her schooling, Jessica was able to volunteer in Nepal where she provided dental services to young monks and nuns in the monastery, students and teachers in a rural school, and residents of a large foster home. She also had the opportunity to teach and demonstrate for students at Kantipur School of Dentistry Nepal.
Jessica enjoys her travels and comes from a creative background, presenting her with an eye for detail in which she applies to her work daily.
